Knitter's Review November 5, 2003
|
Tomorrow morning I board a plane for Virginia to attend our second-annual retreat. Will I bring my knitting on the plane? You bet. Do I anticipate problems at the gate? Nope.
Learn more about the airplane-safe yarn-cutting device and knitting needles that will be proudly tucked in my carry-on case.
Also New This Week
According to the National Greeting Card Association, more calendars are sold during the month of November than any other month of the year. That's your cue to get your 2004 Year in Yarn calendar! (http://knittersreview.com/goto.asp?goto=YY04)

Putting our Heads Together
Colder temps can be particularly harsh if you don't have hair to insulate your head—which is an unfortunate side-effect for anybody undergoing chemotherapy. If you have extra time on your hands this month, consider knitting a chemo cap or two. ChemoCaps.com provides details on patterns, appropriate yarns, and where you can send your finished projects.
November Newsletter Subscriber Drawing
Shorter days mean less sunshine to perk up your spirits. Why not compensate with chocolate? At the end of this month I'll pick one newsletter subscriber to receive a 16-piece box of sumptuous chocolates from San Francisco chocolatier Recchiuti Confections.
As always, thank you for your readership. Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the forums!
