Knitter's Review
July 18, 2013 My favorite thing about knitting may not be the knitting at all, nor the yarn or patterns or needles. My favorite thing about knitting is the community it brings together. No matter where you are in the world, if you're a knitter, you need never be alone. Twelve years ago, I invited Knitter's Review readers to join me at a small Virginia inn. The connections were instant and profound. We did it again the next year, and more people came. The following year, even more people came, and so it went. The event has endured. This November, I invite you to join me for our 12th annual Knitter's Review Retreat. It takes place in the lakeside town of Canandaigua, New York. This year's theme is longevity—physical, creative, and inspirational. We are lucky enough to be joined by Norah Gaughan, Amy Herzog, Gail Callahan, and Carson Demers, with a bonus presentation by Barbara Parry, a swashbuckling Great White Bale extravaganza, and a special marketplace appearance by Brooklyn Tweed. All the details are here, and registration will take place on Friday, August 2nd at 12 noon EST. I do hope you'll join me. Getting On the Wagon Upcoming Events In the Forums: Foul Fibers?
