Knitter's Review
August 14, 2014
Filatura di Crosa Superior and a carved wooden sheep from Japan

The book arrived, unsolicited, in a brown paper envelope from a return address I didn't recognize. The contents weren't wrapped, and there was no note attached.

It was a mystery, both figuratively and literally. This book is Brooks Mencher's juicy new whodunit, The Yarn Woman.

August is a perfect month for getting lost in a mystery, and if you're a fan of the genre, as I am, you'll definitely want to read this one.

Ready for the Retreat?

Just a reminder, registration for the Knitter's Review Retreat is this Friday, August 15th, at 12 noon EST! Here are the details. I do hope you'll join us.

In the Forums: Laborious Knitting
Everyone told Michelle that knitting would be the last thing on her mind once she went into labor. But she proved them wrong. At the end of July she went into the hospital, and, 27 hours later, was the proud mother of a beautiful baby girl and a finished pair of socks. Way to go, Michelle!

As always, I thank you for letting me be a part of your knitting life.

We'll talk again on August 28!
