Evelyn Clark has ushered many a knitter into the lace world. She is a master of the triangular lace shawl format, and her patterns make it all extremely easy.

Evelyn recently raised the bar by publishing a gem of a booklet showing us how to design our very own knitted lace triangular shawls. I just got my copy and share this report with you.

This Weekend
I wish I could clone myself because this weekend is positively bursting with festival activity. In Vermont, we have the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival in Essex Junction. In Harford, Pennsylvania, the Endless Mountains Fiber Festival. In Kitchener, Ontario, there's the Waterloo County Knitters' Fair.

Meanwhile, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Wisconsin, we have the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival. And right here in Maine, nearly in my backyard, we have the Fiber College on Penobscot Bay. Find links to these events and more on our upcoming events page.
