Knitter's Review
July 21, 2011
the teacher's tea

Fresh on the heels of Knit Nation in London, I have loads of pictures and stories for you this week—including more than 10 great yarn links to explore.

Next Weekend in Oregon
The much-anticipated second Sock Summit will take place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, from July 28 to the 31st. In addition to a baffling array of workshops and a huge marketplace, this year also features a sheep-to-sock contest and real-live flash mob.

In the Forum: Breaking Promises
Hilma has asked a question I'm sure others have pondered: Is there a faster way to check your tension, or do you really need to swatch?

As always, I thank you for your readership and your support.

Happy knitting, and I'll talk with you next on August 4th. I'll be fresh from Sock Summit and full of stories for you,
Clara Parkes
