Knitter's Review
August 28, 2014
Filatura di Crosa Superior and a carved wooden sheep from Japan

This week's yarn is living proof that good things come in small packages.

The package in question is an adorable 25g dumpling of Bluefaced Leicester wool sourced and expertly spun in the UK for knitwear designer Erika Knight. It's called, simply, British Blue Wool.

Coming Up
Want to see some wool on the hoof? Head to Reed Point, Montana on August 31st for the 26th annual Great Montana Sheep Drive. That same weekend, the World Sheep and Fiber Arts Festival takes place in Bethel, Missouri. Just a week later, the Fiber College on Penobscot Bay packs the coastal town of Searsport, Maine, with workshops, demonstrations, and local vendors. These and hundreds more can be found on our calendar of upcoming events.

Back to School
What's your yarn IQ? I bet it could go even higher. My Know Your Yarn class on Craftsy can help. Here's $15 off the class fee to get you started.

In the Forums: Charts or Words?
Joann loves knitting from charts because she can see what she's knitting and what it will look like in the finished project. Others are adamant about knitting from written instructions instead. Where do you fall on the issue?
